It also has beautiful architecture with etched pillars displaying great artwork. There are 52 minor monuments, graves, and two-century-old mosques that surround the great temple.

8. Kalo Dungar

Kalo Dungar, also known as Black Hill, looms to the north of Khavda village, securing the title of the highest point in Kutch at 462 meters. From this vantage point, you’re in for breathtaking vistas of the Great Rann salt flat or an inland sea if you happen to drop by during the monsoon. Getting there demands your own means of transportation, however. The hill is also renowned for its 400-year-old shrine dedicated to Lord Dattatreya. As you ascend to the hill’s summit, a panoramic view unfolds over the expansive, bleached landscape.

The hues shift with the passage of time and the setting sun behind the mountains. A brief 15-minute ride from the hill’s base will lead you to the India Bridge, linking the northernmost part of Kutch to the mainland.
